✨ A day of “escape” in the heart of Switzerland: Lauterbrunnen – Grindelwald – Blausee – Iseltwald ✨ If you only have 1 free day in Switzerland and are wondering where to go, the itinerary below is the perfect suggestion to both enjoy the scenery of mountains, lakes, and typical TS villages, and collect enough photos with super beautiful views. Depending on where you start from, change the order of the points accordingly. This itinerary is suitable for those who travel to Switzerland on their own but do not have much time, have a car to move, and only need 1 day to “collect enough beautiful photos to bring back”. 📍 Lauterbrunnen: Start from the fairy valley - where there are more than 70 waterfalls and wooden villages nestled among snowy mountains. Just wake up early, stand in the middle of the grass field and look towards Staubbach waterfall - and you will have a “signature” photo of Switzerland. 📍 Grindelwald: Stop for lunch in Grindelwald village, with the majestic Alps as the backdrop. The road goes by car all the way to the center of the village, no climbing, just... stand still and enjoy. Go further up and stop to take pictures of the beautiful view of the village and mountains. 📍 Blausee: If the afternoon is too sunny, visit Blausee - the legendary emerald green lake in the middle of a cool pine forest. Taking pictures here does not require any advanced techniques, just stand in it and the picture will be as beautiful as a Korean movie. The lake is small and pretty, walking around it only takes 15-20 minutes. Entrance fee is 11fr on weekdays and 13fr on weekends, you can take a boat ride in the middle of the lake to watch the fish. 📍 Iseltwald: End the day with a small village on Lake Brienz, famous in the movie "Crash Landing on You". In the late afternoon, the sunlight slants across the lake, creating a romantic and peaceful scene. There is a famous wooden bench right on the lake shore - but I like to sit further away to take pictures of the whole scene. In the afternoon, I often visit Restaurant Seegarten to eat at reasonable prices with a beautiful, cool view.
